The Experience
BOOK IN
To book in your session simply fill out the contact form above and we will get in touch. Once your session fee has been paid we will send you an email to confirm your booking.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION
For newborn sessions we will pencil you in based on your due date. Once you notify us that baby has arrived we will schedule a date and time for you to come into the studio.
SESSION DAY
Newborn sessions take place in our beautiful fully equipt studio in Carine. There is no need to bring anything but just your family and newborn baby.
VIEWING & ORDERING
Approximately 1-2 weeks following your session is the fun part – the viewing appointment. Here you will see your carefully selected photos for the first time.
COLLECT & ENJOY
Around 2-3 weeks after your images have been finalised, your fine art products will be ready to collect from the studio and hang on your walls!
Meet the photographer
Hi, I'm Mieke (Mika), a Perth based photographer and I am so thrilled that you are considering me to be part of such precious moment in your life. I specialise in maternity, newborn, children and family portraiture. I love everything about babies, children and families.
Before taking up photography as a full-time career, I gained a marketing and visual communication degree and worked as a graphic designer and project manager for several agencies. It was once my children were born that I realized how incredibly important it is to capture memories. Before you know it your little one is about to lose her/his baby fat once they start walking. These special moments in your family are gone by in the blink of an eye but portraits forever tell the story. Your family's story, one you will treasure forever.
Since opening my business in 2012 I have photographed hundreds of babies and their families.
I will be thrilled to work with your family and create memories that you will walk past every day hanging on your walls and you will treasure forever.
